Healing
Healing is a good way to balance the chakras and promote harmony in the body by removing energy blockages which can lead to disease.
The treatment involves a full consultation where the patient talks about their lifestyle, eating habits and any illnesses (past and present). Following this, the patient lies on a couch (fully clothed) and relaxes whilst the treatment takes place.
Polarity Therapy
Polarity Therapy is very similar to reflexology in that the practitioner applies gentle pressure to reflex points all over the body, not just the feet. It works on the five elements within the body (ether, air, fire, water and earth) and creates balance and harmony within these elements, the chakras, the physical body and the emotions, therefore promoting good health and relaxation. Many of the main internal organs are stimulated during the treatment, encouraging them to operate more efficiently giving the patient more energy and helping to prevent health problems.
All treatments are carried out with the patient lying on a couch, fully clothed. Both healing and polarity therapy unblock energy in the body and clear the chakras. Blocked energy (which can occur due to something like stress) can lead to many physical symptoms and emotional problems such as headaches, insomnia, aches and pains, low immune system, tiredness and PMT
Most treatments are a combination of both healing and polarity therapy unless the patient specifically requests one or the other.
I also work on the mind body connection. Our thoughts, feelings and physical well-being are all connected. So when the body has a physical symptom such as an ache or a pain, we need to look at what it is trying to communicate to us. What is the emotion at the root of the cause? Symptoms give us the opportunity to grow and change some aspect of our lives. We can make changes and create balance in our lives again.
Allergy Testing
This is done via kinesiology. It involves testing the patient’s muscle strength whilst they are holding the item they think they may be intolerant to. The shoulder strength (deltoid muscle) is tested for weakness. The patient holds out their arm and the practitioner applies a counter pressure – if the patient is unable to resist this pressure, the test is considered positive to that allergen.
